PROBLEM WITH OPERA 7.01

Hi,
Picture this, ive beening using Opera for the last month, and find it far superior to IE. Ive made hundreds of new bookmarks, got auto logins on most sites (like AT).
And now, today. Just to be plain awkward, Opera now crashes everytime i double click on the Opera Icon.
A "sort" of fix, is to re-install and disable mutiple users. Did that, as suggested on Opera forums.
And now it works. But heres the killer. Ive lost ALL of my bookmarks. WTF

So, if youve had, having this problem, with opera, the heres the fix, just dont forget to backup your bookmarks.

By the way, where does opera keep its bookmarks anyway?
Its not in the Opera directory, cos when i deleted Opera a while back(including the directory), it somehow remembered my bookmarks and settings.

He said he already tried to reinstall. Gee...I guess it's NOT superior to IE if it's gonna blow apart like this.

I'm TRYING to use Opera as my sole browser, but it's absolute failure to handle multimedia sanely, it's inability to remember my firewell passwords (even when the remember box checked) and the MASSIVE memory footprint it takes up (it leaks like a sieve - Opera with 5 wndows open is eating 60MB and I've seen it get up to 90MB with ZERO open pages!), it's deficits are still huge.

At least we agree on something DefRef, Opera isnt as good as people make out.
DefRef, you have the same amount of system memory as me, so i wouldnt worry about opera taking up too much memory!!!

I'm at work with 192MB of RAM and with Win2K, Outlook and a slew of other apps open, 60-90MB is a HUGE bite. At home, it's not a problem.

The people dancing around like Opera is da shiz need to chill and get a clue. It does some things very well, but absolutely FAILS at other details that should be taken for granted. Having to manually copy DLLs to get WMP to work is a JOKE!

Personally i dont DL WMP streams, only got a 56k connection.
But i find it great for just general surfing.
Before, in IE, it took about 3minutes to completly display Reactor Critical, with opera it took under a minute. Speed is my primary reason for using opera.

By the way, where does opera keep its bookmarks anyway?

4. Import
Once you have installed and launched Opera 7.0, you can start to import your old data like e-mail, bookmarks etc. To import your bookmarks you can either copy the Opera6.adr file from the old to the new Opera folder, or you can import your old bookmarks from the File > Import menu. You can also import your Opera 6 e-mail from that menu.

Its in the opera directory, maybe there is a backup version that may have been left over from your previous install. Hope you find it.

Thanks.
I cant find any backups. the only *.adr files aorund are the ones with the default bookmarks.
