problem with onboard video

whenever I plug my monitor onto the onboard video plug on the back of the PC.. nothing displays.. but when I put it into my secondary graphics display plug (both blue plugs.. if you are familiar with the Dell).. it works just fine.. I went into System Setup and changed the primary video to onboard video and it still does the same thing.. it was never like this before.. it was working just fine before I unplugged and replugged everything back. And I've double and triple checked.. it's the same as before.. any clue?

What I'm trying to say here is its not like the monitor is broken - it works when I plug it into the video card.. but when I try to plug it into the onboard like I've always had it it doesn't work

Question - why do you want to run it on onboard video? And why have you done it before?

Uninstall your video card driver (and switch to onboard in setup/bios like you did before), and uninstall your onboard video. You should get video on boot, then use windows installer to re-install onboard video.
