I want to dual boot between Win 98 and Win NT 4.0 using the boot loader in NT (or maybe some 3rd party program)
But when I use NT's boot loader I can't boot Win98.
When I choose Microsoft Windows (which NT placed in the boot meny during installation) I just see the Win98 splash screen, but then it stops and complains about not finding the files (config.sys, win.com etc) which is on the D: drive (partition #2). When i try to access the drive when typing "d:" it just isn't there.
I have have heard something about that NT's bootloader hides other partitions that the active...Is that it?
I have my partions set up as follows:
#1: fat16 (first installed the boot files from win98 on them, then NT put it's bootloader there too)
#2 fat32 partition with windows directory and so on
#3 NTFS for windows NT 4.0
The reason for using this setup is to avoid fat16.
Other setups/solutions are very appreciated 🙂
PS: This setup is the one listed on tweak3dnet
Thanks
