I swaped out my old video card and installed a used geforce 6800gt. this card came from a computer using the same motherboard as me. when i installed the card i was getting sporatic static output especially when trying to play a game.

the video card came from a cyber cafe computer so i returned the card and got a different card from a different computer.

i installed the different used GeForce 6800GT video card and I am still getting the sporatic static. I am using the video card right now but when i try to play a game is when i get the most problems until where the display is froze. i have uninstalled drivers and re-installed drivers.

Are you using the same BIOS version, and the same chipset drivers as the machines that the cards came out of?

You may want to try a different Molex connector powering the video card.
Also, how far is your computer Overclocked?
