Parts arrived last Friday, but I didn't put the computer together until Tuesday.

Asus P5B-E Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
ATI Radeon X1300Pro PCI Express
Antec Sonata Case with 450 Watt SmartPower PS
Mushkin DDR2 800 RAM, 2GB Dual Channel Kit
WD Raptor 150GB SATA Drive
Samsung 18X DVD+-RW Drive

Put everything together, turned on power supply, hit the power switch and almost nothing happened. I say "almost nothing" because there was a brief sound from the power supply, and then nothing else. The LED on the motherboard comes on when the power supply is on, but no fans or anything else at all come on at any time.

It looked to me like the power supply wasn't working properly, so I tried an alterantive power supply- a 380 Watt TruePower Antec PS. This time, no sound when I hit the power button, nothing at all. The MB LED still comes on, but nothing else.

Went back to the original PS, it again made the little brief sound and no change.

Removed everything else from the board, took the board out of the case, and tried to power up with only the MB, CPU, Heatsink/Fan. Still nothing. I realize the computer won't boot without memory or a video card, but the heatsink fan should turn when the power is turned on, right? Just to be extra sure, I also removed the heatsink fan, looked at cpu, reseated it, replaced heatsink and tried again- still nothing. The CPU fan is plugged into the motherboard.

At this point I suspect it's a bad motherboard. Anyone have any other ideas?
