Problem with new cpu

I just picked up a used 6000x2 off the forums, installed, and am now seeing a dramatic decrease in performance. My score now shows an average of 4366, where as stock speeds of the 3800x2 produced around 7700. I have updated the drivers for everything to no avail. amd power saver (or whatever it is called), is disabled in the bios. CPU-z shows 3009mhz, so that is correct.

Does anyone have any ideas? This is the only thing I have changed in my system to see this result.

Use a program like CPU Z to make sure your processor is running at the proper clock speeds.

Ok, fixed the problem, posting for future googlers-

Bios supported the cpu, so that wasnt the problem, although it was a good point.
My board was set to auto for the cpu voltages. This was giving it around 1.32v, which I thought should have been good, since it ran perfectly stable at the stock 3ghz. I read a review on the processor, trying to glean as much information as I could, and noticed that his voltage was at 1.37. I bumped the voltage, ran 3d mark, and wala, 9034 marks. Thanks for the help guys!

Why was the lower voltage causing a lower score?

If anything I'd expect a too-low voltage to just cause system instability (as in you either complete the bench and get your 9k score or it crashes at some point during the bench and you get nothing).

I've never heard of this before. Weird.

Yeah, that explaination doesn't make logical sense.
