Problem with network card

I am trying to hook up a network card, the n100 Linksys 10/100

I have it set up but it will only let me operate 10mbps

Since the line is a T1 400mbps line, i want to have it at 100mbps but can't figure out how to set it that way

any ideas?

hmm well it plugs into an outlet in the wall ( apartment complex, everything's pre-wired) and i've tried two different cables.

The T1 line coming into the apartment complex might be 400mbps yes, but the router the apartment complex uses to distribute the connection to the tenents has its own throughput rate. That's probably why you are at 10mbps.

HTH.

that would make sense, excpet before when i went to network connections it said connected at 400mbps, so yeah im sure its probably the router the apartment uses
