I have an acer 10x4x32x cdrw. In my previous thread, the people who posted said that nero is better then adaptec. So i uninstalled adaptec and installed a trial version of nero.

1) On the website, it says that nero is compatable with my acer, but in the help file it isnt. I have the newest version. 5.044 or something like that.
2) when i try to burn, it does the test to 25% and it stops. The error reads: scsi______ ( i can't remember whtat it is). The cdrw is ide not scsi.

Help??

I have Nero now and started out with adaptec 3 but switched for the on the fly conversion for the mp3's. I have 4 now but haven't tried it.
Unless you're bored, its easier to fit the software to your hardware than the other way around unless you enjoy the challenge.
The new Nero is rumoured to be more user friendly.
