So I got this motherboard about 4 months ago and it's working fine, but the chipset fan started making A LOT of noise like a month ago. I contacted DFI and they said they could send me another one if they charge my card 18 dollars + shipping (they didn't say what shipping would be) and then when i'd send back the old one they would give me the 18 back. Now i'm just wondering if it's worth going through that or is there a relatively cheap passive chipset cooler out there.
thanks for the help.
Edit: Would This one get in the way of my 7800GTX by any chance? because even with the stock fan, the card is almost touching it...... the only thing is i found some review that said you have to remove your motherboard to put it on..... this would be really annoying would i have to do this if i just replaced it with another fan that dfi would send me?
