Hi all...I just upgraded to a GF4 Ti4200 from a GF2 (PCI version) so I'm expecting big improvements. This is my first trip down AGP lane and I'm having issues. I can't seem to get my system stable. I've read and tried a whole bunch of FAQs & tip/tricks for BIOS settings and everything else, but still, when I try to run a game, or even 3DMark2001SE, it crashes. Sometimes just back to the desktop, sometimes I get the BSOD. In 3DMark, it usually gets through the first test, then during the second test (high detail), it dies. My specs are listed below, if anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate it. I'm wondering if it may be my power supply, which is a 300W Antec. The GF4 card does say the minimum requirement is 350w, so maybe that's it? I was hoping 300w would be enough since I don't feel like I have that many things running in the pc to consume power. I've never had a power issue before, is this how it might react if power is inadequate?

1.33ghz Athlon
GeForce4 Ti4200 64mb
Maxtor 30gb 7200 rpm

Well. . .

I would first say that you need a much better power supply. A 400 watt or larger would be better. Check to see that you do not have an onboard video and make sure its dissabled if you do. Also make sure you have the most current drivers. 40.72 or something like that. If you have those, and they do not work, go back to older WHQ drivers.

If none of this works, get back on and post whats happening.

well npw the 40.72s are WHQL

make sure you have totally gotten rid of all the remniants of the old card drivers. get Detinator Destroyer to get totally rid fo the old GF2 driver. that mght just do it,

i really dont think its teh PS cause a friend of mine has a TI4400 runnin on hys sys and he has a 250W PS
