Problem with my MSI K7T Pro2-A and network card

I think it's quite strange. My network card works fine when I insert it into PCI slot 6 but it failed in PCI slot 5. Here's my config:

Duron 700, MSI K7T Pro2-A, MSI MS-8817 Geforce 2 MX, Maxtor 20GB HDD, buffalo PC-133 128MB RAM.

And my Pro2-A has another problem: 'Low lithium battery'? I can't believe it...... It's a new board......

Please help.
