Problem with my monitor, please help.

Well about 4 weeks after buying my new monitor (19" CRT AOC KLR) I've noticed that the left bottom side of the monitor is much darker than the rest of it... It seems as though the monitor is much less bright and has less contrast in that corner. All of the other corners seem fine and are much brighter. Could somebody tell me what the problem could be?

Just a thought - do you have a speaker right up against the monitor there? Anything that emits a strong electromagnetic field (which unshielded speakers do) and can distort your image. Frequent degaussing might help, after removing the offending device of course. There should be a degauss option on your monitor menu (it cleans up effects of stray magnetic interference, but don't expect miracles). If there's no obvious source for the problem, I'd seriously consider RMA it if it's still under warranty - in my experience, these kinds of problems only get worse with time.

Ah, thanks you very much, it was a magnet related problem!

I realised that I had a jar off lots of things which included a few magnets right next to my monitor =)
