Problem with my monitor - IT FLASHES!

I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but I don't think it would fit anywhere else.

Anyway, here goes. I have a Viewsonic A90F. I got it for Christmas in 2001. When I'm using it, the desktop and these forums seem to flash. Like the brightness goes up and down slightly. I have tried all I can, but I can't get it to work. This monitor rocks except for this and the fact that it emits a high-pitched squeal when it goes to sleep. Should I take it in for service, or can I fix it somehow?

Yeah, you may be able to deal with it or whatever now, but then you're just gonna be pissed when it dies right at the time you really need it. Just get it fixed now so you don't have to worry about it.

This sucks. It's only 2 months old too.... I threw the box away too. What should I do??? Buy a new one and switch them?
