Try booting the computer with each video card on its own, do they both let the computer boot ?

Odd.. Sounds like a PSU or MB problem.

Have you had any problems with the PSU in the past? It is plenty large enough to drive 4 of those cards so unless it is broken, or has a very silly rail assortment, should not be a problem.

Does it simply sit there non responsive or will it get into post with both cards but just not windows?

For clarification you have tried each card by itself one at a time to make shure they are both good?

yes when i switch on the power...and the fan keep up as long it on the power...

So it doesn't go into post at all then, just the fans start but then nothing?

Is there a light code showing on the back of either card, or a post beep code?

yes no post at all,yes just fan and on the monitor no signal.....

On the back of the cards are 3 or 4 red LEDs. These glow if there is a problem with the internal post of the card. Are then on while the fan is spinning and if so which ones?

Try the following and see if it helps at all.

Unplug the system from the wall. Hold the power button down for awhile to discharge all the power from the capaciters. Reset cmos on MB. Install both cards with the xfire cable attached and power cables. Try to boot it up and see. If no boot swap the cards around as sometimes one card want's to be the primary one.
