Hello!

Hope someone here can help.

I have bought an brand new computer, it´s a AMD 1600+ cpu, a Chaintech 7VJD2 Motherboard, 512 DDR and a Prolink Gforce2 Ti 64mb videocard.

I have tested to install Windows XP, win 2000 and win -98(not under the same installation, reformated each time) with all the newest drivers i can find. But the problems i have is when i start a game for example NHL2002, sometimes it starts but after a while under gaming, it stops an go back to windows or just hangs in the game. I don´t know what the problem is, do anyone here know why my problems occur, do you knoe about any known problems with either CPU, motherboard, Videocard or..It seems to work under just windows and windows applications, but in games the problem occur.

There are some issues I've heard of with the Geforce 2 and WinXP. I don't think there is a fix out yet. I would just make sure to stay current with your nvidia drivers and check their website often for updates. Maybe someone else has an immediate fix out there???

Chaintech....its not a very brand mobo to begin with. I would try to upgrade the BIOS on that. Then download the latest drivers and update it, especially the AGP driver. You can also try disabling AGP 4x under the BIOS.

What kind of chipset does your mobo have?
