Problem with my Abit BL7-RAID! HELP!

Ok, I recently got an abit BL7-Raid primarily because they (Abit) said it "Supports PC133 Unbuffered/ECC or Non ECC SDRAM, three 168pin DIMM module up to 3GB MAX", and I have 2 sticks of 512meg each ECC ram. I pop the ram in and I get no post just a bunch of beeps and the LED on the mobo says EC. WTF!?! Does this board take ecc or not? I popped in pc133 NON ecc ram and it works fine. I know the ECC ram works cuz its from my main system! Is the key the Unbuffered ECC ram and maybe mine is buffered? HELP! Thanks.

is your ram registered or unbuffered?

they make both registered/ecc and unbuffered/ecc... maybe your board only supports unbuffered/ecc and unbuffered/nonparity

AFAIK intel 845 and 845D chipset do not support registered ram.
