Problem with Music Match 6.1

I just updated my copy of MusicMatch to 6.1 . I use it only once in a while because I like the way it sorts my mp3 files, but I don't use it as a default Mp3 player.
Now all Windows Media files will only play in MusicMatch. I have reassociated Windows Media files with Windows Media Player and it will try to open them by default but won't play them...says they are corrupted. However if I force it to open with MusicMatch it will work fine.
Any ideas on how I can get Windows Media player to play 'em again?

only way i can think of is it reinstall WMP, try version 7.1
