Ok here is the deal... if I try to Double Click on a MP3 or WMA file it gives me this message:

C:\My Music\...... .mp3
The archive is either in unknown format or damaged

and it won't play. But if I go and tell it to open with a program or drag it into Winamp or WMP it'll play no problem... it just won't play if I double click? What wrong?

Hmmm.. perhaps it is a restricted file?

Or, perhaps the file permissions are not set to winamp or whatever you use. What colour is the icon? Does it look like a winamp icon?

don't think so...... I've recently done a virus scan and nothing came up. but maybe I do?

I can open it with any program... just double clicking it doesn't work... If I right click and select play in winamp it'll work, if I tell it to open with any program in the list it'll work... just double clicking doesn't work
