I don't know if it's time for a new monitor or if it's a cable or what. In order to see anything, be it video or games, I need to turn the contrast and the brightness all the way up on my monitor. It's pretty old, about 6-8 years I'd say. It's an NEC 19" i got with my Alienware some time ago. I just dont want to spend $$ on a new monitor if it may be something else but I really don't know what else to check. Cables new, and so is the card.
I tried another monitor. I had the contrast up and the brightness at about 65 and it was the same as the 19" so I think theres definitely something wrong with the 19.
