Problem with Microsoft Xp boot

After i turn on my computer, it shows the motherboard screen and then the microsoft windows xp pro loading screen with the moving bar. After it loads and black screen just appears and nothing changes. I entered in safe mode and looking for anything out of the ordinary, im currently doing a virus scan (Antivir pe) but it looks like an Xp problem.

Any suggestions?

Try booting into VGA mode (you can select it by pressing F8 before boot up). Then change your monitor drivers. On older monitors, XP sometimes does this. Make sure you select the exact model of you monitor, not just the regular Plug and Play Monitor driver.
