problem with microsoft file transfer manager

Hello

My microsoft file transfer manager is not working.

whenever i try to resume a download, i get the message that

"The response fro mthe web site is missing required information. This may be caused by client side proxy restrictions. Consult your system admin."

I think it is an issue with the connections. i clicked the option button on the file transfer manager and i have three tabs in front of me, general, conenctions, performance. i try to click on conenctions, it displays the connections tab for 0.5 section but then closes down(option dialog box closes down)

I had actually managed to get into the connections tab once, but i stored the wrong proxy address, and now i want to change it.

i uninstaleld the file transfer manager and then reinstalled it. guess what, the settings seem to have stuck, this includes the descrption(state, name) of the last file i was trying to download.

can you guys tell me how to wipe out the settings of the last download so that i can do a clean install and/or tell me how to get to the conenctions tab so that i can change the proxy details.
