Problem with Microphone working with new speakers

I have and Asus A7N8X motherboard and I recently purchased new 5.1 speakers. Now, my mic will not work. I've tried every setting that I can find in the NVIDIA NVmixer but nothing seems to work. The only time I can get them to work is when I uncheck the "Center speaker and subwoofer connected to microphone" toggle. However, after doing this the mic is always on and anysound it picks up is played back through my speakers. Any help with this would be much appreciated. I'm just trying to get my mic working with team speak again.
