Problem with Memory check after hooking up old drive?

I just finished a new computer last night, I needed to transfer some files over from my old 40gig WD 7200 so I hooked it up to my new rig. After I plugged it in and powered it on the bios screen showed the memory doing a check climbing up to 512, when it got to 512 it went back to 0 and kept going and looping over and over so I pressed esc. I unplugged the old drive and it is still doing this problem. Did I do something possibly to start this?

I reseated it in the same slot which is Dimm 0, it didnt work. Should I try to reseat it in DIMM 1?

Still having this problem, anyone have an idea of what could be going on?
