Problem with loading Excel Spreadsheet into Access database

I got this error message when I try to import an excel spreadsheet into an access database:

"Couldn't find installable ISAM"

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
try to export the excel sheet as a regular text file separated by commas, then in access try to import it as doing the opposite. there are other ways to import/export so if this one doesnt work try another one.
