Has anyone experianced problems with LCD monitors working with a Gforce 2 MX400? I dont know the monitor brand off hand? If so is there a fix for it. Basically the computer turns on and the monitor light stays yellow, if the monitor is disconected from the computer a (monitor cable disconnected) message appears on the monitor. I would appreciate any thoughts that anyone might have.

Thanks

Steve

No, I havent swapped out the video card, the system is brand new and has a QC sheet.
The LCD monitor was bought at staples, so they weren't tested together at the factory.
I was told that the computer wasnt posting or anything, just the lights on the case came on.

I have heard that some video cards have problems driving LCD monitors and wanted to
gather as much info as I can before I go over to check it out personally.

Thanks

Steve

Really need some more info. Has the computer worked with a regular monitor? Does the MoBo have onboard video?
The symptoms you describe are pretty normal after a videocard change, if the display Adapter in your Properties wasn't changed to the Standard Display Adapter (VGA) .
When I forget to do that after a videocard change I have the same problem. I have to reinstall the old card and change the adapter.
Then install the new card and all is well.
If you dont have the old card maybe you can clear cmos and get it to work.
If you have onboard video disable it but still change the adapter before reinstalling the new card.
