Problem with Laptop

I have a brand new R51e laptop. I isntalled spyware doctor, avg, antivir, and zone alarm on it. I then attempted to uninstall NOrton, as I didn't need it. However, when I went to add/remove programs, I clicked on remove Sysamec, it loaded to around 75 percent, and refused to go anymore. I was like Norton was stuck onto the computer.

I stopped it, and tried removing it again. No luck.

I rebooted, and instanley I felt that the computer was slower, it was laggin incredibly. I had a hard time opening My Computer as it was lagging so badly. And the hdd light wasn't flashing at all. I eventually got to the add/remove programs, and I tried unistalling Norton again. No luck. I reoobooted again

Then when I clicked on my accout, it loaded to the desktop backround, and just stopped. It wasn't even frozzen, I could nmove my mouse and everything, but the hdd light wasn't flahing and it stopped.

What should I do?

If the laptop came with a restore cd, I would use that to restore it back to
factory and then try to remove it before you install any of the other stuff.
I've had Norton, but recently switched to zone alarm & avg too, and it runs
smoother without it. Luckily I didn't have any of those issues uninstalling it
though.

You didn't mention an OS, but if you are running either
Windows 2k or XP, boot into 'Safe Mode' (press F8 after bios screen)
and try to remove the program from there.
