problem with kk266 and ram

ive tried my stick of mushkin rev. 2 128mb, doesnt work, ive tried t osticks from my compaq and only one works on this board, then i tried another stick similiar to the compaq stick and that wont work either, only this one 32mb compaq stick works for me without getting the memory beep beep at power-on, ive tried different pairs, and even each ram by itself, i was going to buy a 256mb stick of crucial but this mobo wont work with any ram besides this one stick, what should i do? and is there a way to fix it?

Sounds like it may be defective ram. Did you seat it real well? If it is the Mushkin Rev.3, it has the same chips as what we sell, on a single sided 128mb dimm. If it is rev 2., then it is Mosel Vitalec, which should also work fine on that board.

Update: I just put a 128mb stick of Mosel in one of my KK266's and it posts and boots fine. Ram must be bad.

im pretty sure i seated em right, but even if the mushkin rev 2 is dead, why wouldnt any other sticks work?

Maybe the DIMM slot on the board is bad. Try another slot.

tried each of the 4 diff ram sticks in the other 2 slots.. still wont work, but the other stick works in every slot =(
