Downloaded the client and followed the steps given here http://www.anandtech.com/rc5.html up until the next day procedure. This is where I have a problem. I put my email address in correctly(checked it twice) and completed 1 work packet or whatever(I'm on my 4th work unit now) and did the update thing(fetch and flush)... but when I goto the distributed.net site to have my password emailed to me manually and search for myself I'm not listed!!!! its been like a week almost now and I havn't been emailed anything and still today i can't manually retreive my password through the distributed.net site. What am I doing wrong??? BTW, yes I am joinging Team Anandtech

...originally posted in another forum and was told it may take 3-4 days to get my pw but its been longer...

RegaPlanet,

I think you may be cracking OGR, instead of RC5, which is why you're not showing up in the RC5 stats. Go here try the search, and see if you pop up. If so, you need to edit your ini file and add the following line at the end:

[misc]
project-priority=RC5,OGR=0,DES=0,CSC=0

Then DELETE the OGR in and out buffers, and restart the client.

RegaPlanet, Russ is right, it looks like you are doing OGR-25
Check out this page If that is you, then you can click on the mail password button on the bottom of the page. This will allow you to join Team Anandtech. Then follow Russ's instructions for running only RC5.(I would Flush before deleting the OGR output buffer, and I would do it right after a stub ended.)

<You bet. You can use your dnet ID on THOUSANDS if you want>

With permission to run the client, of course. :D

Uh oh! I have it running on twenty cows here at work, and I didn't ask permission. Am I going to get in trouble?;)

BTW, Ray, CPU is on the way.:D

Russ: Yes. You're in big, BIG trouble. Quick, switch all the work machines (the crackrack, too, don't forget!) to cvermeer@sark.com. That'll make everything okay.

Don't worry, you have my permission to do so. ;)
