problem with ipod mini

hello all,

friend of mine has an ipod mini that's kinda screwy.

she says the audio comes out garbled and scratchy,

the scratching noise changes when the wheel is touched or clicked or when the ipod's orientation is changed.

is there some kind of problem with a contact or some magnetic problem or something?

as one would expect from apple, they wanna charge over 200 beans to repair it.

thoughts?

Ah, I know about this. Basically the connector that connects the mainboard to the headphone jack is a very loose material, and it gets messed up sometimes. Looks like you have to send it in for warranty. This happened to mine, and theres really nothing you can do.
