Problem with Internet...

Okay I am connected behind a Wireless G broadband router and use a Laptop and a Desktop both with wireless adapter(Wireless G)cards...and my internet doesn't seem to be working for most of the time(works a couple of times)...they were perfect a couple of weeks ago...but that was before I reformated both and installed WinXP Home Edition SP2(SP1 before)...would this be the cause of the problem?...could it be the use of different firewalls?...before I used Zone Alarm on both...but know I use the XP built in Firewall for my Notebook and the NVIDIA firewall for my desktop...please help
