Problem with Intel865GBF

My company bought these PC's with Intel865GBF boards(865G Chipset). I have two memory sticks of 256MB each. The problem I'm facing is that the boards are running on single channel mode instead of dual channel. What can be the reason?😕

Does it depend on the DDR?

First, if you have DDR333 you will not be running your FSB at 800. But you should still be able to run in dual channel memory mode I believe. Are you sure you have your 2 DDR sticks in the right slots. The Intel boards are not color coded like most other mobos and it's easy to put the memory sticks in the wrong slots. You may find the answer at www.intel.com.
