Problem with installing Win2K

I did a total lowlevel reformat of my HD with the manufacturer's utility

created a partition

set my CD-ROM as first boot device and booted up with the Win2K CD to setup

Pressed F6 to install the ATA/66 drivers for my Abit BE6-II mobo

it copies all the stuff, but hangs at "Setup is starting Windows 2000"

and I have NO IDEA WHY. Anyone have any ideas? My system rig is in my profile, thanks.

Did you format...not low level...meaning format C: or whatever the drive, if not then Win2k cant copy temp files to the hd cause it has no file system on it, later

if it's copying the system files then im pretty sure you have your drive formatted.
i have the same mobo and installation should be pretty straight forward , make sure you have the win2k high point drivers installed on the floppy disk, get the latest ones and then uncompress them to the floppy .
one thing i noticed from your system specs is that your running raid correct?
Do you have your raid drives configured correctly in the bios as i'm sure your using the BE6revII ver 2.0 ?
