Well my system specs are in my sig cept that i borrow 1 stick of my old ram from a friend that i sold it to the ram im using is corsair xms pc3500 1 stick of 256mb.

well i had the overclock shown below runnin with my crappy kingston valuram ddr266 and borrowed my friends ram because i thought that my overclock was being limited by that ddr266.
so i stuck the corsair in and booted it up and i couldnt get a single more fsb out of it than when i was using my ddr266.
I am thinking that maybe it is my max3 that is the problem. Anyone having problems with max3s getting over 280fsb at 5:4 or 3:2 ratio

dude, that is a very good overclock for a 2.6c. Even if you have reached the chips limit, there is nothing to complain about there!

Very true. You have a Better overclock on that 2.6C than the vast majority of people. Be happy!

It's your IS7. He has an IC7.

Dude, that overclock is the SuX. But, have no fear, Smithers is here for you. Send me that chip, and I will cross ship you my 2.6C, so that your overclock will not be quite so bad in the future. Feel free to PM me for address details.

Can you please post here what changes you've made in the bios to overclock that particular motherboard? I'm getting it in a few days and would like some overclocking info/tips. I don't usually overclock, but hey, it's never too late to start right? ;)

Thanks,

FP

I'm kinda skeptical. Screenies please.

You're running your DDR266, running a 3:2 ratio at 280FSB. That's DDR373. That seems kind of high to be pushing DDR266, but what do I know, I haven't used PC2100 in ages, yields could be better these days.
