Hi, I received a Scanjet 5P from my cousin, and I'm trying to get it connected. He couldn't use it because it's SCSI and he doesn't have a SCSI card. I have a 2940UW, so I took it off his hands. I tried to connect it, but the end on the connector is too small for the SCSI port on the back of the card. Can anybody help me out? What kind of card does the scanner usually come with? Do I need to get some kind of adapter for the connector? If so, is it worth it to buy one, or just get a new scanner?
thanks

If the scanner is in good working order, it'll certainly be worth getting a SCSI card or an adapter to accompany it. Here's one: Link That would plug onto your 2940UW's external connector and I think you'd be off and running. Or look for an old basic SCSI-2 card with the Mini DB50 fitting, it shouldn't cost you much more than that adapter.
