OK, as the title says, this is a BH-6 with a Celeron 1ghz Coppermine CPU and Windows 98SE
I installed Win98 with only the HD, Video Card, and Ram.
The Video Card is a Hercules Prohet GF2 MX 32mb.
Upon completion of the Win98 Install, I rebooted and installed the Det 21.10 driver.
All seemed to be working OK, except when I installed NVMax and went into the Clock adjustments sections, the default top speed was listed as 20294mhz for both the Core and Mem clocks, with the rum zome at the very top of the bar. which is ovbiously incorrect.
I uninstalled the driver with Win Add Remove, then rebooted and ran Ded Destroyer, then rebooted and removed all remaining traces from the HD and the Registry. I also uninstalled NVMax.
I then installed the Det 21.83 driver and got the same results with NVMax. I then installed CoolBits and with the same results there as well.
I then shut down and reseated the Video Card, with no change.
This card was in my old K63-450 system and functioned perfectly, so I am somewhat confused as to what is going on here.
Have any of you seen this kind of problen and do you know how to fix it?
Thaks for any comments,
