Problem with griffin case+iPhone 4s

So i got the griffin survivor for my 4s. Ive seen maaany videos of what it can do, along with that i have a friend who actually has the case and let me throw his ipod around, alot. So i got one of my own, and i did the same, its really amazing and it works great, but one day we dropped it like 3 feet and it just reboots itself like a self defense mechanism as if it crashed from damage or something. This has happened twice and i know its from this so any advice to this problem if its the case or what, because others have survived far better than this one.
