guys, i've heard stories about amd related products not being compatible with geforce2mx cards, and don't know whether it's true or not...
if anyone had experienced anything of this sort, then post something on here.
My T-bird 900+ Via(MSI K7T PRO BOARD)& Geforce2 MX have no problems, there are some problems I`ve read with KT133 chipset & Detonator3,the solution is simple use Detonator2 drivers or wait for the next driver update from Nvidia(which will fix the problem)I` also believe the latest Detonator3 6.26/27 beta drivers work ok.
Q3 is more stable on my Tbird/A7V/Geforce2 setup than it was with my Celeron2/Abit BH6/Geforce2. I am using the Detonator 6.26.
UT (after a bit of tweaking to eliminate the mouse lag problem) is very fast. My method of benchmarking is to load up 10 bots and play a CTF match to 10 flags. Then I record min, ave, and max framerates. This might sound silly, but I have found it to produce logical (and real-world) results. The minimum framerate (what matters to me) rose from 30-32 on the Celeron 800 to 42-44 on the Tbird 950.
Sometimes I really wonder the cause of the problems tha other people see.
man guys, thanks for pitchin' in, and with your help, i've got a t-bird800, abit kt7 mobo, with an asus v7100 geforce2mx vid' coming my way. sweet, isn't it? you guys rock!!!
