Problem with FTP program and Win2K

My OS is Win2K. The FTP server is G6.
Firewall - ZoneAlarm McAfee AV 5 for win2k

Everything worked fine when I was using Win98, only other difference is that i had Norton AV loaded then.

clients can logon but can't retreive the list of dirs in the home dir.
I've tried rebooting, and disabling the firewall. but still no luck
