Problem with FRAPS

I've been attempting to use FRAPS for a few gameplay videos, however when I check the recording to see how it is, there's no sound! I've got every volume setting on my computer turned up (including recording volume), sound recording is turned on in FRAPS settings, and the video works perfectly. If I listen very very closely, I can hear it faintly. Any reasons as to why this may be? I've tried this question 3 times, and no good answers yet. Thanks!

Can you post a screenshot of Fraps configuration? Maybe there is the problem.

Can be recording settings too, because you can up all volumes in mixer but the source isn't correctly selected, you have to select "mixed output" or similar. For example, i've Windows 7 and when i enter in "Recording Device" i see that options (in spanish):

You can see that i've selected "Varios Micrófonos", then the program record all that the microphones capture, i've to change to "Grabar reproducción" that means "Record playback", "Mixed output" or similar in english to record all that i'm listening on my PC.

I understand. I'm learning second year Spanish so you are doing better than I would in Spanish.

I found the problem. I'm not sure how to take the screenshot, but I know where the problem is. It tells me that my best and only recording device is "Microphone (SigmaTel Audio)". SigmaTel Audio is the brand of onboard sound chip in our old motherboard.

I have WinXP SP2 so I don't have the same settings you do, but is this an issue of outdated equipment? Anyway to fix without installing a new sound card?
