Problem with Firefox cache and gmail

I have been using Firefox just fine for the past couple days. I just reformatted, but now I ran CCLeaner and it cleaned out the firefox cache and all of a sudden Firefox refuses to load gmail.com. Can we say bug???


What the hell is this crap about? All I did was clean out the cache and now I can't use firefox to check my gmail.

Any suggestions? If you guys say reinstall, I am just uninstalling this POS.
 
This is so bizarre. I just did what you said and deleted the individual gmail/google cookies, and then I signed into gmail and checked the box for saving my information. But then I got the same error, so I went back and did the same thing all over again and this time I did not check the save info box and it finally worked. I hope firefox is addressing this issue in their next release?!?!?!!??!?!
 
WTF is CCleaner? Can't you just empty the cache from within Firefox?

I love how people use third-party paranoia utilities, then blame the main app when the utility screws something up.
 
hahah funny, thats not the main point of ccleaner, if you knew what it was you would realize it is mainly used for cleaning your registry. It is also used for cleaning cache files and log files in addition.

Perhaps it blew away some Firefox registry entries? I would suggest reinstalling Firefox, but apparently that isn't an option for you.

Obviously, he didn't know what CCleaner is - duh! He asked - reread his post. I didn't know either, so I googled it.

Assuming it's the same thing, it sounds like you should really ask your question at CCleaner's Forums. It's most likely a problem with their software - not with FF.
