Hi!

Just got my new mainboard, Epox 8K7A+ and a Thunderbird 1,2 ghz 266 with
256mb pc2100 ram.

Put everything together, and plugged in my old harddrive, IBM 7gxp 45gb set
up as ATA100.

Started up Win98se, and everything worked fine. Then booted up Windows2000
and the machine needed 6 minutes to come to the desktop. Win2000 is also very
slow and locks up as soon as I try to use the cd rom.
Tried unplugging different cards, but no change until I unplugged my dvd drive and CDR. I
have tried all possibilities with putting only one of the drives to the
mainboard, secondary, primary etc.

When I try to start up with a win98 bootdisk, it can't find any valid cd rom drives.

Seems like it is a problem with the cd drives. Have also installed newest
drivers, Via4in1 ver. 4.31v.

Please, if you have any solution or knowledge to my problem, give me some
help.

Sincerely,
JosteinK
