Problem with Enermax 80mm casefan...

Hello;

I have recently bought two enermax uc-8fab-b, 80mm case fans. I had one other fan in my case, bought earlier (also an enermax).

The old fan has a total-gray potentiometer, the new ones are blue with a white 'knob' to set it.

Problem is that if i connect either new one, sometimes it generates a 'buzzing' sound on the soundcard.

The sound is relative to the place of the cable with the potentiometer - if you hold it near to the harddisk for instance;, you can hear buzzing that sounds like a harddisk through the soundcard.

This is very annoying, as i would love to install those two new fans in my case.

I've been thinking to cut open the shrink-wrap on the old one, and replace the potentiometer on the new ones with the same type/brand of the old one...

Any further advise?
