I purchased a digital camera (ricoh) for $192.00 via "BUY IT NOW." The auction was on August 6th and I paid immediately.. I needed the camera in a rush so I emailed the seller and asked when it would be shipped (explained that I had a trip, etc. etc. etc.).. She promised me that it would go out the next morning.. On the 13th I started getting a little anxious - I sent her a very nice email asking her for a tracking number. No reply... I emailed her on the 14th.. No reply.. I emailed her on the 16th.. No reply.. I finally request her user information to call her and leave a polite message saying that I expected the camera by now (especially since I paid $12 to ship it!) and that I would like either a tracking number or an explanation.. Of course, no reply... I waited 2 more days and then left her a message that was slightly less polite "Please email me or I will have to contact my credit card company to request a refund directly... " Anyways, I then receive this email:
Needless to say, I'm pissed.. I paid for the auction on the 6th... She had 13 days to contact me and let me know this.. I would have happily accepted a refund and would have understood (even though it's unethical in my book to auction off something that you don't physically have).. I don't want a refund if she can't find a source, etc. etc. etc.. I want a refund NOW - what should I do? Threaten to call the B.B.B.? Call the credit card company (paid via paypal)? Notify ebay? I sent her an email asking for an immediate refund but I know that she doesn't read her email every day.. This is just so fvcking frustrating....
Any advice?
Her userid on ebay is crystalpistoltradingpost ... Her feedback is excellent but something like this shouldn't happen if you're a good business person...
UPDATE: My threatening phone call worked! I woke up to a paypal refund in my mailbox.. COol 😉
