Problem with DVD burns

Hey guys,

Just got a Pioneer A03 from a friend of mine and have been using DVDXpressCopy to back up my DVDs. On most of them for some reason toward the end of the DVD I start getting crazy pixelation and lockup/delay problems.

The DVD plays fine in my computer dvd drive, but not on my JVC player.

equip involved:

JVC - 502S DVD Player
Pioneer A03 Burner
Lite-on 16x DVD
Princo 1x Blank DVD-R

I have seen various people on other boards arguing the player vs the media, any ideas from you guys?

Try different media or differnet software. I had similar troubles with the Pioneer A05 and a Phillips DVD, Memorex media garbled video but, Ritek media worked fine.
 
I guess I am going to have to plunk down some cash and try a couple of different types of discs, see if it makes a difference. I am getting mixed messages from other boards.

Some people say changing media helped, others say it didn't. Some say changing players helped, others say it didn't.

Too bad I just got in a 50 spindle of Princos.

Any other experiences would be great.
