Problem with DV capture

Just did a reformat and installed Vegas Video 3.0. My problem is: I cannot capture 48Hz audio from my Canon Optura Pi, only 16bit 32Hz. The camcorder is set on 16bit/48hz and I have captured these tapes before at 48Hz, but now after I reformated it will not. Windows movie maker 2.0 also will not capture audio in 48Hz, so I assume it isn't just a problem with Vegas. I have started a new project with all the appropriate settings just as before.

If anyone could help, I would greatly appreciate it.

 
I guess I'm going to reformat again and see how it goes. I found one other person that had this problem over in the doom9 forums. He never figured it out either.
