problem with dual monitor when trying to play 3D games

<DIV>I just added a second 15" monitor so I can have some more desktop real estate to go with my primary 19" monitor. It works fine for 2D stuff, but whenever I try to load a 3D game, I get the following error message: "Driver componet sizes mis-match. Retry to keep going. Cancel to exit." If I retry, I just get the same message, over and over. I have to go into Display properties and uncheck the box that says "Expand my Windows desktop onto this monitor". I don't expect to be able to play games on dual monitors. I just don't want to have to keep turning this on and off between every 3D game I play. Is there a way around this? Thanks</DIV>

i have no idea. but i know that nvidia drivers have their own dual monitor setting. instead of selecting it in windows, click the advanced button -> geforce whatever -> nview display mode.

i never used it, but thats what the nvidia tray icon is supposed to be for, right? to switch modes easily.

i had the same problem with my dual vidcard setup when trying to play q3a waaaay back when. i just dealt with it.
