Problem with divx encoding

I have big problems with divx encoding. I tried using flask 6, in win2k. It says error opening file. Flask 594 gives a similar error. I tried using xMPEG. That did not give me an error, but became inactive. I know that I am supposed to wait for a while, as that is what this guide says. I waited for a half hour, until I realized that my processor (duron 700) was being used less than 10% all the time. So I aborted the mission. Any suggestions from anyone with the same problem? Why don't u try using Gordian Knot? I've been using it without a hitch and its been very reliable. You could get all the info you need from doom9.org. Good Luck.
