Got 2 Dell U2414H monitors that have (2) display ports. One in and one out. I have them hooked up properly, have display port 1.2 enabled in the monitors OSD menus. I am running the latest intel graphics drivers. The problem I have is if I manually turn off the monitors, I hear the computer make the unplug hardware sound. Sometimes when you turn them back on the computer does not redectect them, and you get nothing at all. You have to restart the computer.

Secondly, if the computer does detect them, the driver pick them up as "a new display port topology has been detected, click here to configure".

I am lost with this.

Why not just leave them turned on?

This is what it shows on the spec page for it.

Power Consumption Stand by / Sleep:
Less than 0.5W

If you put your system to sleep does it wake up fine along with the monitors?

Yes it will, but when the #2 display which is located on my right is awakend, every so often there is what appears to be corruption / interference. It lasts only a few milliseconds.

Using DVI and HDMI do not exibit this.
