I have a main download drive with 220 GB so i had quite a bit of stuff in recycle bin and then i reeinstalled vista and now there is not thing in recycle bin but the space is still being taken up.

I did a properties on all the folders and it comes up about 30GB short of what it should be.

Go into c:\recycler (or that folder on the drive in question) and notice there are probably one or more S-###-###-#### directories. Delete them.
