Problem with Dell XPS M140!

So the DVD-RW that came with my M140 is having problem reading DVDs for some reason. It reads data and audio CD fine, but it can't read DVDs of any kind. I've tried data dvd, back up copies of dvd movies and originals, all of them comes to be empty.

Is there a firmware I need to download or anything? BTW, anyone have any idea what company "TSSTcorp" is?

TSSTcorp is Toshiba Samsung Storage something or other I believe. They have a website, but its useless.

You might want to double check that the drive actually is a DVDRW of course, but otherwise call Dell for a replacement.

This sounds kind of weird, but try right clicking on the drive in My Computer, go to Properties, and click the Recording tab. If there is an option called "Enable CD recording on this drive" (It might say DVD, dunno), make sure that is checked. I recall solving some kind of optical drive read error by doing so.
